Are you a gazelle or a lion?

Dedicated to the most inspiring teenager Andy Hernandez. Every morning Andy wakes up he is always ready to face what God has in store for him today.

Did you know, if you listen or watch something positive in the first twenty minutes of your day, you're productivity has a chance of doubling.

Every morning in Africa a gazelle wakes up,
And knows that it must run faster than the fastest lion, Or it will be eaten.
Also every morning in Africa a lion wakes up,
And knows that it must outrun the slowest gazelle, Or it will starve to death.
It doesn't matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle...
When the sun comes up you'd better be running.

"What will you be thankful for tomorrow that you will do today."

Last Quote of the month: "Don't allow the pains of the past to poison your future. Where you're going is more important than where you've been."

What does your future hold?

Your future is happening right now. So stop trying to figure everything out.

I have only just a minute, Only sixty seconds in it
Forced upon me, can't refuse it,
Didn't seek it, Didn't choose it
But it's up to me to use it
I must suffer if I lose it
Give account if I abuse it
Just a tiny little minute
But an eternity is in it!

-Dr. Benjamin Mays

What if they saved your life?

Let's take a positivity test.
Just for today I want you to wright down every time you point the finger at someone else and then jot down how many times we lift someone's spirits. What would your ratio be? (you may hit me back tonight with your answer).

How would you treat someone if they saved your life?
So how is the finger pointing going? Are there some people in this world who would have to save our lives, to get our respect?

"If we would feel sorrowful over their non existence tomorrow then it's time to make peace with them today."

Reminder: "God has already forgiven those who have done wrong to us. Why haven't you? "

Quote of the month: "Don't let the pains of the past poison your future. Where you're going is more important than where you've been."

Who do you aspire to be?

Dedicated to an abundantly cheerful person, who appreciates every aspect of his life. The inspiring Gary Prichard.
Do you waste precious moments of your life pointing your finger at others' mistakes?

If you do then it might be time for a change. Isn't the news so negative that we don't want to hear it? So then why do we subject others to our negative views on the mistakes that others make? We have enough issues to solve in our own lives.

"God loves us regardless of our imperfections. So why are we so stuck on everyone else's?"

Spending time encouraging and praising others will help others to get to levels of their lives that they may not think possible. Practicing to be a person of great character will teach others how to live and will be great examples for any child or person that comes in contact with us.

"How do you know when someone is ahead of you?"
Answer: "When you are talking behind their back."

There are some people in life I can honestly say I have never heard them say one disparaging remark about anyone. Who are we aspiring to be?

"If we magnify others' (our) pleasures, like we magnify their (our) disappointments, we would be a lot happier."- Abraham Lincoln

-Take only 15 minutes to write a Thank You card to someone who has touched your life

After 1 month= 7 hours Start making a difference in your life today.

'You might want to become more interested in the future, because you're going to spend the rest of your life in it."

Are you bored?

Your life is as boring as you make it. How much does God have to give us before we start enjoying what we have? Everything we own we were excited to get. What happened to that excitement?

Someone once said, "I'm bored."
Friend then said, "If I had your life, I'd be bored too."

"Everyone gets only one shot in life. What are you doing with yours?"

Quote of the month: "Don't allow the pains of the past to poison your future. Where you're going is more important than where you've been"

Are you mentally tough?

Do you practice Mental Toughness?
Definition: can't make it tough enough for me to complain or quit.

Do you put the letter "a" at the end of words.
Ex: Come on-a, let's leave-a, I'm cold-a
This is called whining.

Spilled milk is meant to be cleaned up.

"Mental Toughness is character in action" -Vince Lombardi

Are they happy to see you?

How can you tell if someone is happy to see you?

Body Language
eyebrows raise
feet face you
eyes open wide

Let someone know that their presence matters.
Other's presence= positive reactions

"Don't respond. React!"

"Some brighten up a room when they walk in. Others brighten up a room when they leave."
Who are you?

Are you trying to be someone else?

How to waste your life...
...just live by what others will think about you. Anytime you are afraid to say or do what you want to do, then you are not living for yourself, but for someone else. Just be yourself, because anything different from that is a lie.

"I cannot give you the formula for success
but I can give you the formula for failure
which is: try to please everybody"- Herbert B. Swope

"Why try to be someone you are not,
When you have something they haven't got?"

Do we create our own stress?

Is it possible that we create our own stress?
Make vs. Let
Do we make ourselves get up in the morning, go to work, do things we don't want to do?
We don't force ourselves to go to the movies, parties, or just fun nights out. We let those things happen.

"Stop fighting what you don't want to do and accept the things that you need to do, in order to get where you desire to be."

Let = allowing it to happen.
Make = forcing it to happen.

"You are 100% responsible for how you choose to respond to what happens to you."

Quote of the month: "Don't let the pains of the past poison your future. Where you're going is more important than where you've been."

Are you giving it away?

Stop giving it away!
We were all born with confidence. It is your obligation to protect it. But do we allow Worry to get in the Way? Confidence comes from building on your mistakes without the fear of making them. You must be able to make a mistake in order to get where you want to be or you might get stuck right where you are.

"Unless you believe in yourself and put a total commitment into what you desire... what are you living for?"- Vince Lombardi

Is this an I-can't-wait-for society?

Dedicated to an Energetic Greeter- Angelica Constantino
Do we live in an " I-can't-wait-for society?"

I can't wait until I graduate college.
I can't wait until Friday.
I can't wait until the summer.
I can't wait until the semester is over.

But once we get there, do we put in the full effort to enjoy every moment at that time? Or do we continue to take life for granted and look for another time in the future to be happy? Why does it seem that no matter what situation we are in we will find a way not to be happy?

Happiness is being able to live Right Here, Right Now. That means choosing to be happy despite your situation. Still don't believe me? Children are great advocates for happiness. Everything means so much to them and they are excited over every aspect of their life.

"I'm happy that I am me, who always chooses to be happy."

How are your reactions?

Dedicated to the magnanimous, inspirational- Joel Osteen.
Maybe we need to change our perceptions of who we think someone is.

You're an idiot! You're a loser! Jerk!
Is this how we feel when others fail to live up to the standards that we choose for them?

How are your reactions to others' actions?

"Our perception of who someone else should be shouldn't interfere with their becoming who they want to be."

Quote of the month: "Don't let the pains of the past poison your future. Where you're going is more important than where you've been."

Are you in the zone?

Are you excited to get up for the life that you chose?
If the answer is yes than this is how you can start acting like it. If the answer is no, than this is how you can change it.

Get in the Zone=ready to face the days challenges with unrelenting enthusiasm regardless of your circumstances. How do you get in the zone? Is it watching a 2 minute motivational clip from your favorite movie, Music, work out or maybe reading this quote every morning can help?

"I am excited to live out the life I chose for myself and am eager to see what God has in store for me today."

Quote of the month: "Don't let the pains of the past poison your future. Where you're going is more important than where you've been."

What are you attracting?

Dedicated to one of the most Energetic Professors- Professor Ellis
How to Master your Life:
Own Your Feelings.
Are we still 10 years old?
"He made of fun of me."
"That's not fair."
"You shouldn't say that."

Are we taking responsibility of our own feelings? Or, are we allowing others to have power over how we feel?

Wallowing in self pity holds us back from rising higher. Ask yourself, "Do I want better?"
If the answer is yes, then stop allowing outside distractions (things we cannot control) to keep you from enjoying your life.

Do we spend more time concentrating on someone's faults or do we spend our time talking about people's strengths? Remember to ask yourself, "what are you attracting?"

Hope this quote helps you:
"Other people's opinions are none of my business."

Quote of the month: "Don't allow the pains of the past to poison your future. Where
you're going is more important than where you've been."

Ok. Let's here what some of your thoughts are. Feel free to email me back with what motivates you and what you desire to do in life or any thoughts that help you throughout the day.

How to Master Your Life?

Can you find the positive in all situations, no matter what the circumstances?

"Changing Your Focus, Changes Your Future."~ Dr. Rob Gilbert

Once you focus on what you want, what you don't want falls away and what you're focusing on expands.

Don't let the pains of the past poison your future. Where you're going is more important than where you've been.

Who do you surround yourself with?

Dedicated to Father Crowley (Guardian Angel Pastor in Edison)

On a farm, high up in a tree, there was and Eagles nest. As the mother was away from the nest, one of her baby eggs dropped out of the nest and landed near the chickens. As it hatched its first sight was seeing chickens. As it grew it walked and acted like a chicken. But it would always hunger to be that eagle in the sky and think, "Wow! I would love to fly and be so graceful like that eagle."

One day the baby eagle stood on a small branch and tried to fly, but over and over again it fell on its face. Seeing this, the Mother Eagle swooped down and stood next to the baby eagle. The baby eagle with excitement said, "I want to fly and be graceful like you." The mother said "How are you going to soar like an Eagle, if you're always hanging out with chickens?"
"Association brings Inspiration"

Quote of the month: "Don't allow the pains of the past to poison your future. Where you're going is more important than where you've been."

What type of person are you? Chicken, Crow or an Eagle

Dedicated to the Cheerful Jessica Sanchez

"Did you hear about her? Did you here what she did? I can't believe he would do that! What is the matter with him?!"
Chickens will always talk behind your back.

"If I were you, I wouldn't do that. I told you so. How come you don't listen to me?"
Crows will always complain about the way we live our lives and will hold us back from being who we want to be.

Eagle- No one will distract me from my ultimate destiny.
"No matter who tries to hold me back, I will rise higher than others are willing to go."

Quote of the month: "Don't allow the pains of the past to poison your future. Where you're going is more important than where you've been."

Are we just children in an Adult body?

Dedicated to the Great Motivational Leader- Dr. Rob Gilbert
How old are you? Isn't true that children only throw temper tantrums?
How come we like to point out the immaturity of others, but have yet to see our own?

"Yea but he hit me first" "He started it"
How come when someone disrespects us we believe that gives us the right to disrespect them? Why do we constantly fight fire with fire? Fight fire with water, rise above it.
How do we handle Frustration & Anger?
Do we:
a. yell and be disrespectful to others
b. ignore it and play those frustrating events over and over in our heads
c. allow this to effect everything else we do that day
Or do we:
d. Adapt- we are only in control of our responses, so start acting like you have control over yourself

The only reason why we get mad or angry- Things aren't going the way I WANT IT TO= why am I so selfish.

Someone once asked me, "What do you like for in a person?"
Answer: "How they react when things don't go their way"

All opportunities are disguised as problems?

Can you kick FFUD out?

Dedicated to the Inspirational Ed Agresta

Are you FFUDing around?
Remember that little boy or girl that would jump out of bed in the morning and capture each moment of the day. Let me tell you a secret. That little boy or girl is still inside you, hiding behind FFUD. That child lived with enjoyment, curiosity, happiness and freedoms to think and feel how they wanted. Or at least that is what that little voice in their head was telling them to be. We allowed FFUD to infect that little voice. If you want to Go All Out and be who you want to be, YOU MUST KICK FFUD OUT.

Living without:
Fear
Frustration
Uncertainty
Doubt

Someone once asked, "Who put theses thoughts in your head?"
Answer "Nobody"
Someone than said "Well it doesn't get in there by itself"

"Change the way you think and you will change the way you feel"

Are we getting in their way?

Are we allowing our friends to grow and change? Or are we getting in their way?
Allow me not to be perfect.

We have this image of who we think a person should be and when they do something different that we don't picture them doing, we say "Why did you do that".

"Allow me to change and be who I think I am not who you think I should be"

Son once said to his Dad: "Life is going to catch up to all of us"
Dad's response: "Especially if you're standing still"

How can I change to become the person I desire to be?

Are you a Leader?

In some aspect of our lives, we are all in a position of a Leader; either to a child, friend or someone in need. A True Leader helps someone to get into a position, where they can be successful. If we are going to help someone, show them you are already happy with who they are.

We are practicing today, for who we want to be tomorrow.
