Stop blocking it!

You have more inside you than you think is possible. But maybe your past has made you think otherwise. A negative past does not disqualify you from having a positive future.

You are where you are in life because of the choices that you have made. How do you get out of where you are? Answer: Start Making Different Choices.

The problem is we keep putting those 2 words together- Hidden Potential. When do we get rid of the word hidden? Stop blocking what you have and let it out. Hidden means we are scared. So we hide it. Why? Don't allow others to keep you right where you are. You are full of Infinite Possibilities, and if you and your friends don't believe in you, Than go find people who do.

"Continuous effort- not strength or intelligence- is the key to unlocking our potential." ~Winston Churchill

Why are so many addicted?

"When it comes to addictions, our culture pumps out addicts." ~Randy Pausch
Are you addicted to getting offended by people you don't know? Or worse, people you know?

"My friends will never hurt me. My family members will never hurt me." If you believe this, you might be saying that these people are perfect and never make mistakes. We all make the mistake of unintentionally hurting someone. Why? Because no one is perfect and maybe we take things to personally.

Solution: Don't put all your trust in one person. Allow them to make mistakes without your ego getting in the way.

"If you don't get offended, then you'll never have to forgive."

You only have 1 choice you can make

Are you going to be IN it or INTO it?
If you are in school, you are enrolled.
If you are into school, you are involved.
If you are in a job, you are just punching a clock.
If you are into your job you have a career.

It is your choice. If you are in a relationship, you may have problems. If you are into a relationship, you find solutions.

But the most important question is, How excited are you every morning to live out the life that you chose for yourself? Are you into your own life? Or are you waiting for something else to make it exciting.

"With a charismatic person, the room lights up when they walk in. A non charismatic person is when the room lights up after they leave."

How high is your E.Q.

Emotional intelligence is the emotional drive, needs, and the whole value system of a person. It is the ability of monitoring, understanding and managing your own and other people’s emotions.

E.Q. or Emotional Intelligence is put to the test when things don't go your way. Ever see how friendly everyone is at work. But how do they respond when things don't go their way? You can have all the Intelligence in the world. But if you lack the E.Q. how much of your life will you actually enjoy? Your Bounce Back Ability shows how strong your E.Q. is.

"Adversity is like a strong wind. It tears away from us all but the things that cannot be torn, so that we see ourselves as we really are."

Are you living for NOW or later?

On the front of a shirt at a teacher’s convention read, "3 Best Things About Teaching." On the back it read, "June July and August." It's funny. But is it also sad. Some police officers get into their jobs so they can retire in 20 years. How quick are we trying to get to our graves?

We will spend most of our time in our career. There are some people who wait a whole year to enjoy only 2 weeks of it. What happened to the other 50 weeks? Do we depend on vacations to enjoy our life? Don't wait for the Grim Reaper to knock at your door before you enjoy the great life that you have.

"If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace, you are among the top 8% of the worlds wealthy."

Do you own your attitude?

Ownership brings responsibility. How come when we react poorly, we tend to make others responsible for it? "Well they cut me off." "They told me off."

"Your reactions are not in response to what they said. But your reactions are in response to how you allowed them to make you feel." You are responsible for your feelings. "When we blame others by making excuses, we give up ownership of our own actions."

"If you want to take control of your life, stop making others responsible for it."
