Your focus will make you or break you. Some people focus all their energy on what they don't like about the world. Others choose to focus on what brings them happiness and how to get the most out of it.
What we give our attention to, affects how we feel.
Think of it this way. The sun is 92,935,700 miles away from earth. If we traveled 500 miles an hour, it would take us over 21 years to get there. You're saying, "Yes. So what?" So with the sun that far away we can take a magnifying glass and create fire by focusing the suns energy in one spot.
The more attention you give to something the more powerful it becomes. Your thoughts control your feelings. What are your thoughts focusing on all day?
"Energy flows where attention goes."

I only sing in the shower
How many times have people wanted to dance at a wedding but said, "NO" because they don't want to risk embarrassment?
Some people spend most of their lives not letting loose and enjoying the moment, for the fear of embarrassment.
If you are afraid to risk embarrassment, it could be because every ones opinion matters more than your own. Are you living for you, or are you living for them? Children live for themselves. Some adults have their lives controlled by opinions that won't matter the next day.
If you get a chance in life, take it. If it changes your life, let it.
When you are in front of others, "Don't change who you are because of who they are."
Quote of the month: "Make sure your teammates know they are working with you not for you." ~John Wooden

Trash, Who wants it?
You would probably be upset, if someone trashed your living room. Then why allow them to trash your mind?
Solution: When others try to be a negative influence in your life, it is your opportunity to be a positive influence in theirs.
Do you build others up or do you allow their negative views to break you down?
"When you respond to life, that's positive; when you react to life, that's negative." ~Zig Ziglar

Are you sold?
"By the way you live your life should make others want what you have."
If you're not sold on your life, then no one else is buying.
Enthusiasm is living with the desire for the life that you chose. Some people's flat line facial expressions, will tell you how bored they are to live their own life. Don't let this be you.
Ask yourself these questions. If I am not excited for my own life, how am I going to positively impact anyone else? Why would anyone want to share a life with me that I don't act excited about? Is your focus on your problems or your possibilities?

Did you wander away?
Special Hello to Jill Deakyne.
Where did you go? How far have you gone? Do you even know the way back? Come back and join. Who? Yourself. How far and away do you want to live from who you really are? Are you being yourself in front of others like you are at home? Or have their opinions infected your reality? Do you live by what you think of yourself or by what others think of you?
"To wish you were someone else is to waste the person that you are."
Quote of the month: "Make sure the team knows they are working with you not for you." ~John Wooden

Do we look to get offended? Sound strange?
Have you ever told someone off and then told other people about it as if you were bragging. When we do this, we are saying that if feels good to hurt someone else with the words that we use.
This isn't justice. This is called REVENGE. Watch out for those "Revenge People," because if you accidentally hurt them, they may purposely hurt you.
How can you avoid being offended? Answer: remember that people are not out to hurt you. Sometimes you just might be in the way of their actions. Our own actions have accidentally hurt someone and sometimes others are in the way of it.
"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." ~Gandhi

Are you too F.A.T.
Some people allow their feelings to get in the way of being happy. They may be too F.A.T. They Feel a certain way, then Act how they feel and then Think about what happened.
Why are we addicted to our feelings? So you say it is hard to control your feelings and thoughts all the time, but we can control our actions. Once you start acting differently, you start feeling differently and you start thinking differently. If you don't control your mind, then your mind will control you. If you want to get anywhere in life, you must Act differently than how you Feel.
Feel is not real! When you start feeling disappointed, worried or frustrated, what positive actions are you taking to get where you want to be?
"Thoughts determine what you want. Actions determine what you get."
Quote of the month: "Make sure the team knows they are working with you not for you." ~John Wooden

Take out the trash
Do you realize that most commercials are out to make you feel bad about yourself so they can sell their product? As if, our lives would be so much better if we bought their product.
If someone trashed our living room we would probably be a little angry. But how much of society do we allow to trash our brain? Do we let all the negative thoughts of t.v. and society take over our mind: the way we look, how we are suppose to act, being afraid to take a chance when people are watching.
If you feel great about who you are then other people's opinions shouldn't effect how you live.
"If you're not happy with who you are and how you look, then why should anyone else be."
Quote of the month: "Make sure the team knows they are working with you not for you." ~John Wooden

Attitude Creates Winners
"Winners are not the result of the score. Winners are the result of your attitude."
Attitude is all about how you see something. What do you see here:
opportunityisnowhere
Some people think it reads, "Opportunity is Nowhere." Do you see problems as problems or do you see problems as opportunities?
At the end of your day, do you vent about all the things that was a problem for you today? Or did you see these problems as opportunities and challenges to your character? If so, then maybe you saw the above statement that read, "Opportunity is Now Here."
"Every problem we complained about, may have been a missed opportunity."

How are you going to live?
Will you be excited for your daily life and the choices you have made?
When you interact with others, Will you leave them feeling bitter or better?
Will you build people up or break them down?
Or:
Will our "to do list" of our daily activities distract us from the community in which we live and forget that one quality we all had as a child, the ability to be Friendly?
“A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.” ~Jackie Robinson

Evaluation or Motivation
Do your friends, parents, family members or significant other, motivate you to become better and get the most out of each day?
Some of them maybe too busy evaluating you instead of motivating you.
A youth sports basketball team lives by this motto,
"Go Ape for your teammates."
Acknowledge
Praise

Have you been robbed?
Have you been robbed from your happiness, from your joy, from your enjoyment, from your exciting life? When we get upset and bothered by what we cannot control, then we allow others to rob us of OUR Happiness.
Maybe you started out happy in the morning and then we may let the following people steal our happiness everyday:
a driver on the road
someone else with a poor attitude
an ex
telemarketer
co-worker
students in class
teacher
boss
a past hurt
There are some people in this world that no matter how much they have in life, they still find a way to be unhappy.
Happiness is a choice.
"When YOU decide to be happy, it doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that YOU'VE decided to look beyond the imperfections."
Quote of the month: "Make sure the team members know, they're working with you not for you." ~John Wooden

Small things make the difference
Special Hello to a person with an amazing memory, Laura Lee.
You have one decision to make, Are you going to be in it? Or are you going to be INTO it.
Are you going to be in a relationship or INTO it.
Are you going to be in school or INTO it.
Are you going to be in a job or INTO it.
Example: If you are in a job you will work for someone that is INTO a job.
The INTO it people are the ones walking around and looking at life in total amazement. Your life can change just by changing your attitude and being INTO it. It's the little difference in life that makes all the difference in the world.
A coach once told his players, "If you're not into it, then get out of it."
"If you don't think that the little things make a difference, try going to sleep with a mosquito in the room."
Quote of the month: "Make sure the team members know, they're working with you not for you." ~John Wooden

Life is like a bucket of golf balls
Happy Birthday to a responsible young man, Paul Cicalo.
You start hitting away carelessly. Each golf ball means nothing to you because so many shots still remain. Until there is only a couple of golf balls left. You realize your tries are running out. So now before each shot you start taking a few practice swings because you want to end on a good note.
Each swing becomes more meaningful, even though your other shots may have been bad. You know that the future can change right now depending on how you approach the present. You still want to crush these next few golf balls as far as you could because these are your last shots.
Live each day shooting as though this is your last shot. This is the moment. You only get so many shots in life. What are you doing with your shot today?
"Why worry about tomorrow if you're only guaranteed today?"
Quote of the month: "Make sure the team members know, they're working with you, not for you." ~John Wooden
