Can self-esteem be given?

NO!
In 1969 Coach Jim Graham a great youth football coach discovered that self-esteem is not something you give, IT IS SOMETHING YOU HELP BUILD in others.

How? He believed in a no-coddling zone at practice. He preached that there are 2 steps to building kids self-esteem:
1. You give them something they can't do.
2. They work hard until they can do it!

Step # 2 says, that they (the children or you) work hard until they can do it. It is not given to them (you), it is earned!

Why Do People Break Their New Years Resolutions?

Answer: They loose that feeling they once had.

A New Years Resolution takes much commitment. Most people only commit to something when they feel like committing. But true commitment is, "Keeping your word after the feeling has past."~Dr. Gilbert

What Do You See In You?

Tonight, during a basketball game, a coach told one of his players, "I see such a great player in you, but you are afraid to be that person."

No matter what challenges you face in life a great coach once said,
"You can't be scared if you're prepared." ~John Wooden
