The Secret to Discovering Your Hidden Talent Has Been Found

"Give up."
"It's not worth it."
"You'll never get this."
--Don't let that little voice in your mind control your future. That little voice is encouraging you to give up on your talents and abilities.

But here is the secret:
Life is not an ability game. It's a strategy game. Stop using the same strategies and expect different results. TRY ANOTHER STRATEGY.

"If you find the right strategies, you will discover your hidden talents. But if you don't believe in your own talents, you won't even look for the strategies." ~Dr. Rob Gilbert

Lights, Camera, Action!

Ok, your on! So go ahead. START NOW! What are you waiting for? There is no time to waste! The time is now!
For What?

TO LIVE YOUR LIFE!
Most people are living but may not be truly ALIVE.

Someone once said, "I am bored." Someone they knew responded, "If I look at life they way you do, I'd be bored to."

Very few people live in a state of constant total amazement.

Most people wait for something to happen. The enthusiastic and fun people of the world make it happen.
"Success doesn't come to you. You go to it!"

Praise vs Encouragement

"A word of encouragement during a failure is worth more than an hour of praise after success."

Why are we afraid of failure?

Because people don't like the discomfort of it. That's why we may not go after what we want.

"We must be willing to fail and to appreciate the truth, that often, Life is not a problem to be solved but a mystery to be lived." ~M. Scott Peck

Words don't slip out

"Control your mind or your mind will control you."
You may have heard someone curse or use negative language and their follow up would be: "Oh, it just slipped out!" Most people want you to believe that they never or rarely ever say it. What it really means is that they normally say it, but they didn't want to say it at that particular moment.

News Flash: You get out of your mind what you put into it.

"Mistakes are a part of life. But your responses are your choices."

Quote of the month: "Don't count the days. Make the days count." ~Ed Agresta

When the negative rocks are thrown, what do you throw back?

Special Hello to Gary Prichard.
One year ago an inspiring 3rd grade girl gave a talk at Montclair State University on teamwork. During her talk, she took questions from the audience:

College Student: Do you have any negative people on your team?
3rd Grade Speaker: Yes
College Student: How do you handle them?
3rd Grade Speaker: They just need a little more encouragement.

"Be kind to unkind people, they need it the most."

Pillow Test

No matter what you do today, or what you don't do, there is only one question you need to ask yourself when you put your head on your pillow. After reflecting on the days events and things you needed to do, when your head hits the pillow at night are you going to say,

I'm glad I did?
Or.
I wish I had?

Sports is Life

Ever hear the expression, "Sports is Life"? That doesn't mean that their whole life is taken up by sports. It means that just like life, sports will guarantee to reveal 2 character traits about you.

#1 How do you respond to pressure?
#2 How hard are you willing to work for something?

There is nothing else that is a guarantee in sports. In other words, sports will reveal how you respond when things don't go your way and how badly you are willing to fight through the obstacles of life.

"The brick walls in life are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out, they are there to see how badly we want it." ~Randy Pausch
