Be so good that they can't ignore you.
Until 1974 women were not offered full athletic scholarships. Ann Meyers was told No! several times by several different teams. They said, "You are not allowed to play with the boys." After Ann's parents spoke with the school board, the Basketball Coach gave her a chance to play. After seeing her unbelievable basketball talent, Ann Meyers made the team and went on to receive a 4 year scholarship from U.C.L.A. Ann Meyers was a high jumper, long range shooter and a brilliant passer. She was named the first 4 time Kodak All-American, and UCLA retired her #15 jersey.
What is most amazing is that Ann Meyers was drafted by the NBA team, The Indiana Pacers. What? That's right. Ann Meyers was such a Great basketball player that she was drafted in the men's basketball league, The NBA.
When others say No, take responsibility and go after what you want with 10 times more desire and determination than before. A "No" is only a "Yes" waiting to happen.
"You've got to get up every morning with determination if you're going to go to bed with satisfaction." ~Georege Lorimer
