How do you judge the importance of your life?

A Coach was not happy that his 3rd grade player hasn't been giving enthusiastic high fives to her teammates. The Coached asked the player, "How do you get your teammates to give you an enthusiastic high five?" To his surprise she answered, "By giving them myself."

What are you giving to others that you wish to have brought upon yourself? Jackie Robinson was the first African-American Athlete to play in Major League Baseball. It was in his contract that he wasn't allowed to retaliate against any racial slurs or even someone spitting on him. However his positive outlook on life remained the same. Why? do you ask. Because his tombstone will forever read,

"A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives."~Jackie Robinson

Quote of the month: "We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give."
