Have you ever wanted to ask someone out but you were afraid that they might reject you? Ask them out anyway? Don't reject yourself. Step away from your fear of rejection.
Last Friday, a 3rd and 4th grade girls basketball team, was attending the Rutgers Basketball Fan Fest. During the Women's Head Basketball Coach's Speech (Vivian Stringer), Stringer spoke about how they take on all comers from Tennessee to Duke to Maryland etc...
Later on that night, during her autograph signing, a 4th grade girl was waiting anxiously in line to meet her. When she finally was the first person in line she said something that stunned the coach. This little girl said, "I hear you take on all comers." Stringer responded, "That's right." This fearless 4th grade girl, with her soft voice said, "Well, then how about taking us on?"
This girl's serious demeanor did not change, even while the coach was laughing. After the coach's laughter became silent. Coach Vivian Stringer realized that this girl was serious and ironically and surprisingly accepted the challenge and invited this 3rd and 4th grade team to play the Rutgers Women's Basketball team at their practice.
