Some people stop going for it, because they are stuck in their past mistakes, with fear of making another one. You either get stuck in your mistakes or you learn from them.
A reporter once asked a bank president:
Reporter: What is the secret to your success?
Bank President: 2 words- right decisions
R: And how do you make the right decisions?
BP: One word- Experience
R: And how do you get Experience?
BP: Usually from making wrong decisions
