Can self-esteem be given?

NO!
In 1969 Coach Jim Graham a great youth football coach discovered that self-esteem is not something you give, IT IS SOMETHING YOU HELP BUILD in others.

How? He believed in a no-coddling zone at practice. He preached that there are 2 steps to building kids self-esteem:
1. You give them something they can't do.
2. They work hard until they can do it!

Step # 2 says, that they (the children or you) work hard until they can do it. It is not given to them (you), it is earned!

"Most of life's failures are those people who didn't realize how close they were to success when they gave up." ~Abraham Lincoln
