Have we spent crazy hours and too much time trying to find that perfect gift to make someone happy? How long will it take before that child's or person's happiness wears off? The most creative and heartfelt gifts are the ones that last forever. Bianca has truly given her Mom a gift that keeps on giving. Two years ago, a 3rd grade girl wrote this poem to her Mom.
I bought a Christmas present to give it to my mom.
I saved up all my money and somehow it is gone.
I don't know how I lost it, it makes me oh so mad.
If I never find it, I will be very sad.
The day is soon to come when Christmas Eve arrives,
But all I have to give her are the tears from in my eyes.
So I got glue and scissors and paper from the shelf,
And made a pretty card with Jesus and an elf.
Now on Christmas morning she'll have something from me.
I made this gift with love. The best things are for free.
