Practice Striking Out

He was the first player in Major League Baseball to hit 60 home runs in one season. He held the record for the most home runs hit in a baseball career (714) for 39 years. I am speaking about Babe Ruth. The interesting thing is many times he led the league in strikeouts. He struck out 1,330 times in his career.

So what does this have to do with you? A no is just a yes waiting to happen. Practice getting it wrong until you get it right. Practice getting rejected. Every strikeout was one step closer for Babe Ruth hitting a home run. Artists and bands usually have 2 or 3 good songs that make it big on an album of 12-15 songs. They practice getting it wrong. But why do many people give up before they hit that home run?

"Because most of life's failures are those people who didn't realize how close they were to success when they gave up." ~Abraham Lincoln

Quote of the month: "Make your haters your motivators."
